For the execution of construction works in the area of Fleming Station, the following traffic arrangements will be implemented as of Friday February 20th 2009<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

1.The axis of Delfon street is relocated southwards<\/strong>, at its part extending from its\u00a0intersection with\u00a0Miaouli Street up to\u00a0Kolokotroni Street. At the said section\u00a0of Delfon Street there will be one traffic lane per direction.<\/p>\n

2.Vehicular circulation is prohibited on the part of Makedonias street<\/strong> between its intersection with\u00a0Delfon street\u00a0and V. Hirsch Street.<\/p>\n

3.Vehicular circulation is prohibited\u00a0on the part of\u00a0Al. Fleming street<\/strong> between its intersection with Delfon street and Makedonias Street.<\/p>\n

As a result, in order to facilitate traffic circulation:<\/u><\/p>\n

– The section of Makedonias Street<\/strong> from its intersection with Al. Fleming up to V. Hirsch Street is converted into one-way street,<\/strong>\u00a0directing traffic towards\u00a0V.Hirch street.<\/p>\n

– The section of V. Hirsch street <\/strong>from its intersection with Makedonias street up to Garivaldi street is converted into one-way street<\/strong>,\u00a0directing traffic towards\u00a0Garivaldi Street. For this reason, right turn is forbidden from Lasithiou and Gamveta Streets, as well as left turn from Deligiorgi street\u00a0into V. Hirsch street.<\/p>\n

– The direction of Garivaldi Street is reversed<\/strong>, from its intersection with V.Hirsch Street up to Xenofontos street,\u00a0leading traffic towards\u00a0Xenofontos Street. For this reason, right turn\u00a0from Garivaldi street into Xenofontos Street\u00a0is prohibited.<\/p>\n

– Stopping and parking of all\u00a0vehicles is prohibited on either sides of\u00a026th October\u00a0street<\/strong>, at its section from Makedonias street up to Delfon street.<\/p>\n

The anticipated duration of\u00a0all the above traffic arrangements is 18 months<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Thessaloniki Metro Department wishes to extend its warmest thanks to all residents and passing-by drivers for their understanding and co-operation in the construction of Thessaloniki Metro, such a major and complex project.<\/p>\n
