Recently, within the framework of the said Art Program, the works of art created by the late Opy Zouni, by George Lazongas and Theodora Voutsina & Miltiadi Papastergiou embellish Egaleo, Eleonas and Aghios Antonios Stations respectively.<\/p>\n
In particular, sculptures created by the late artist Opy Zouni and placed under her directions are exhibited at EGALEO Station<\/strong>, from the concourse level with the work of art \u201cColumn\u201d, to the station platform walls (see the attached photos of the works \u201cColumns- Shadows\u201d and \u201cFour Gates in the space\u201d).<\/p>\n At ELEONAS Station<\/strong>, the artist George Lazongas<\/strong> has created works of art exhibited at the concourse level (see the attaches photos of the work of art \u201cRoutes\u201d).<\/p>\n At AGHIOS ANTONIOS Station<\/strong>, the work of art \u201cSpathies\u201d created by the artists Theodora Voutsina and Miltiadis Papastergiou<\/strong> was placed in the outdoor area the Station\u2019s entrance lateral wall, creating a harmonious match with the architecture of the Station (see attached photos).<\/p>\n The art program of Attiko Metro A.E. is also implemented in the Stations of the Athens Metro Extensions, while its implementation will be extended to the Stations of Thessaloniki Metro, as well.<\/p>\n EGALEO STATION \n ELEONAS Station AGHIOS ANTONIOS Station The Athens Metro, apart from offering comfortable, rapid and reliable trips, also contributes to the substantial improvement of the quality of life in the capital through the combined exhibition of significant archaeological articles that came to light during the metro excavation works and artworks by contemporary Greek artists. For the first time in a public project in Greece, ATTIKO METRO S.A. implemented an extensive Art Program covering all the Stations of the Metro network and presently thousands of Greek and foreign Metro users who opt to use the metro for their daily trips are given the opportunity to admire a total of 27 works of art.
