BoD resolved yesterday to approve the documents for stage B\u2019 of the above tender procedure, which will be handed in the immediate future to the following four (4) bidders:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>\u0391\u039a\u03a4OR \u0391\u03a4E<\/li>\n<li>Joint Venture\u201c\u0391\u0395G\u0395\u039a KATASKEVASTIKI &#8211; IMPREGILO \u2013 SELI \u2013 ANSALDO STS\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Joint Venture \u201c\u03a4\u0395R\u039d\u0391 \u0391.\u0395. \u2013 ALPINE BAU GMBH \u2013 FCC CONSTRUCCION S.A.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Joint Venture \u201cJ&amp;P \u2013 \u0391VAX S.A. \u2013 GHELLA S.P.A. \u2013 ALSTOM TRANSPORT S.A\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">According to ATTIKO METRO S.A. estimates, the works for the construction of the first extension of Thessaloniki Metro to Kalamaria are to commence in summer 2012. This Project shall signal a major step forward in the development of a fixed route transport mode which shall serve the entire urban web of the city of Thessaloniki.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Kalamaria extension shall be 4.8 km long, with five (5) stations, five (5) ventilation shafts, two (2) single track tunnels and its estimated daily ridership shall be approximately 65000 passengers.
