Thessaloniki Metro Department of ATTIKO METRO S.A., in cooperation with the Visual Artists Association of Northern Greece (S\u039a\u0395\u03a4\u0392\u0395), proceeds with the upgrading of the Metro worksites\u2019 fencing in terms of esthetics.<\/p>\n

On Sunday, February 3rd<\/sup> 2013, 12 unique, original works of art in synthetic vinyl, were placed on the metal fencing boards of Metro worksites in DIMOKRATIAS Station and Dimokratias Crossover. In the near future, fencing boards will be decorated with other works of art, as well.<\/p>\n

In addition, artists, members of S\u039a\u0395\u03a4\u0392\u0395, painted the metal fencing boards that were placed outside the Metro worksite offices in Dimokratias Square.<\/p>\n

More specifically, the following artists participated in this event:<\/p>\n

Sofia Amberidou, Yiannis Monoyios, Konstantinos Palian, Giorgos Politis and Giorgos Toulkeridis.<\/p>\n

Thessaloniki Metro Department is in close cooperation with the School of Fine Arts of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki for organizing similar events in more Metro worksites.<\/p>\n

The art intervention program is implemented for the citizens to familiarize themselves with Art and for the fencing of the Metro worksites to be upgraded in terms of esthetics.<\/p>\n
