The Chairman of ATTIKO METRO S.A. Professor Yannis Mylopoulos and the Board of Directors, in joint organization with the Department of Antiquities of Western Attica, Piraeus and Islands, will inaugurate today, at 20:30, at Xylapothiki Building, located at 8 Pylis Street at the archaeological site of the Gates of Classical Piraeus, the exhibition \u201cUnearthed\u201d displaying the finds of the archaeological survey that construction works of the Metro Extension to Piraeus brought to light.<\/p>\n

The entire archaeological survey has been funded and is still funded by ATTIKO METRO S.A.<\/p>\n

As stated by the Chairman of the Company, \u201cMetro projects are currently being executed in Greece under harsh financial conditions. Promoting growth, improving quality of life and environmental conditions in cities, Metro projects highlight the cities\u2019 historical and cultural profile. The exhibition inaugurated today is a living proof that the harmonious coexistence of growth and culture \u2013 with a social mark \u2013 confers added value to many sectors of live in Greece\u201d.<\/p>\n
