Thessaloniki Metro constitutes a 1.5 billion \u20ac investment that will drastically enhance the city of Thessaloniki\u201d.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Further on, Mr. Christos Tsitouras, Chairman of ATTIKO METRO S.A., underlined that: \u201cProjects of national magnitude, such as the \u201cThessaloniki Metro\u201d, should be kept away from \u201cpetty politics\u201d, since, in any other case it is the citizens and the national economy who will suffer all adverse consequences. Once more, I urgently request all authorities and agencies of the city to \u201cembrace\u201d the Project, for Thessaloniki Metro to be completed as soon as possible.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Actually, the construction of the Metro system during the last months has been rapidly progressing and adherence to the time schedule of the archaeological excavations has been significantly improved.
