In addition and as a result of the project\u2019s operation, the number of the private vehicles circulating daily will be reduced by 57,000, and the corresponding CO<sub>2<\/sub>\u00a0emissions will be reduced by 212 tons per day.<\/p><p>It is worth mentioning that, given that the project\u2019s construction incorporates the most recent technologies and the most demanding specifications\/standards of quality and operability, Thessaloniki Metro is \u2013 undoubtedly \u2013 the most modern Metro system in
